唐尼這次盯上了位于法國馬賽的世界鉆石交易中心，那里的鉆石保險箱中存放著不可估量的最高價值的鉆石無數(shù)。為了拿到去世界鉆石交易中心的入場券，唐尼組建了一支高科技小分隊，他們的第一個目標是劫持裝有鉆石樣品的非洲航空。這次行動有驚無險，雖然唐尼一伙成功拿到鉆石，卻也被警察盯上了。這其中就包括唐尼的老對手國際刑警尼克。此時的尼克因為之前不當使用槍支而被暫停職務六個月。因此尼克無法參與調查。可尼克沒有放棄，他利用警隊的關系只身來到馬賽，與當?shù)鼐炻?lián)手調查很快鎖定了唐尼。
