唐尼這次盯上了位于法國(guó)馬賽的世界鉆石交易中心，那里的鉆石保險(xiǎn)箱中存放著不可估量的最高價(jià)值的鉆石無(wú)數(shù)。為了拿到去世界鉆石交易中心的入場(chǎng)券，唐尼組建了一支高科技小分隊(duì)，他們的第一個(gè)目標(biāo)是劫持裝有鉆石樣品的非洲航空。這次行動(dòng)有驚無(wú)險(xiǎn)，雖然唐尼一伙成功拿到鉆石，卻也被警察盯上了。這其中就包括唐尼的老對(duì)手國(guó)際刑警尼克。此時(shí)的尼克因?yàn)橹安划?dāng)使用槍支而被暫停職務(wù)六個(gè)月。因此尼克無(wú)法參與調(diào)查。可尼克沒(méi)有放棄，他利用警隊(duì)的關(guān)系只身來(lái)到馬賽，與當(dāng)?shù)鼐炻?lián)手調(diào)查很快鎖定了唐尼。
